Technical Support Engineer

Overview

Provide technical leadership and support for the service phase of offshore wind turbine projects, including troubleshooting, service preparation, and continuous improvement.

What you'll do

• Provide remote and periodic onsite technical troubleshooting for turbine issues.
• Escalate turbine controller issues to appropriate technical specialists.
• Create and manage technical cases, work orders, and non-conformities.
• Support work-order readiness by defining priorities and tooling and spares lists.
• Coordinate daily planning calls with offshore vessels.
• Develop troubleshooting guides with design and technical support teams.
• Lead improvements involving controllers, HMI, SCADA, digitalization, data analytics, and EHS compliance.

What you'll need

• 8 years of offshore wind farm experience.
• An associate degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering, or a high school diploma with advanced wind training and experience.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting wind turbines.
• Understanding of electrical, mechanical, controls, network, and communication systems.
• Experience with continuous improvement and quality tools in service operations.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Understanding of English for global procedures.
