Technical Support Engineer, Malaysia

Overview

Technical Support Engineer (senior technical support role) within Cohesity’s support organization, supporting customers with technical issue resolution.

What you'll do

• Provide timely resolutions to customers’ technical issues using available tools.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and record customer interactions including investigations and resolutions.
• Work closely with Cohesity engineering and account management teams.
• Select methods and techniques to obtain solutions using considerable judgment.
• Manage workload to resolve all customer issues in a timely manner.
• Develop reusable self-service solutions and build/update a knowledge base.
• Mentor other engineers.

What you'll need

• 3-12 years of experience in a storage, networking and virtualization environment.
• Strong understanding of Linux and administration experience across working components.
• Ability to analyze system diagnostics and clearly articulate issues for customers.
• Knowledge of Linux debugging utilities (systemtap, tcpdump, ftrace, strace, wireshark, gdb, crash).
• Experience with remote file access protocols including NFS and SMB (CIFS).
• Solid knowledge of storage concepts, including virtualization and data protection tools.
