Technology – Software Development / IT Engineering

Overview

Evergreen requirement to build a talent pipeline for current and future technology positions across software development, application engineering, data, cloud, and enterprise technologies at Copart.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain scalable technology solutions.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective solutions.
• Develop clean, maintainable, and reusable code following industry best practices.
• Work with cross-functional teams including Product, Business, QA, DevOps, and Support.
• Participate in the complete software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirement analysis, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and implement appropriate solutions.
• Develop and integrate APIs, applications, databases, and third-party systems as required.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Work in Agile/Scrum or other software development methodologies.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good understanding of software development principles and SDLC.
• Experience working with modern development tools, frameworks, and technologies.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing business requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience in one or more of the following areas: Programming (Java, JavaScript, TypeScript); Frontend (React, Angular, Vue.js); Backend (Spring Boot, Java, Node.js); Databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB); Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud); DevOps (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CI/CD); Data & Analytics (SQL, ETL, Data Engineering, Power BI); Integration (REST APIs, SOAP, Microservices); Enterprise Applications (ERP, EPM, CRM, Financial Systems and other enterprise platforms); Testing (Manual/Automation Testing, Selenium, API Testing); Other (AI/ML, GenAI, Automation, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure and related technology areas).
