Overview
Resolve incidents and problems across business system components while supporting the technical planning, design, development/integration, and verification/validation of customer Azure Virtual Desktop environments.
What you'll do
- Resolve incidents and problems across multiple business system components and ensure operational stability.
- Create and implement Requests for Change (RFC).
- Update knowledge base articles to support effective troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with vendors and help service management teams with issue analysis and resolution.
- Manage and troubleshoot VDI infrastructures.
- Perform VDI upgrades and VDI migrations from planning through implementation.
- Configure VDI patch management and policies.
- Manage VDI license migrations and renewals.
- Work with multiple internal and external stakeholders to deliver high customer expectations.
- Plan deployment of host pools and app groups.
- Deploy automation runbooks, Azure Logic Apps for auto scale, Azure virtual networks, VPN gateways, Azure monitoring alerts, key vaults, storage accounts, Azure Files and NetApp Files.
- Create Azure image galleries and custom Windows 10 images for AVD deployments.
What you'll need
- Minimum 5 year(s) of experience.
- 15 years full-time education.
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Computer Science.
- Microsoft Azure Windows Virtual Desktop.
- M365 Cloud PC, Intune or another EMM solution, and MECM.
- PowerShell scripting.
- DevOps Terraform knowledge.
- Strong knowledge of managing and troubleshooting VDI infrastructures.
- Strong background with Microsoft SQL Server, IIS, and Active Directory Policy Management.
- Understanding of Cloud Concepts, AVD deployments, Intune infrastructure and day-to-day activities.
- Understanding of Azure Landing Zones and Azure Virtual Desktops.
- Expertise in FSLogix Profiles and FSLogix App Masking.
- Familiarity with Azure Automation Accounts.
- In-depth understanding of Azure Active Directory.
- Understanding of deploying Azure Virtual Desktop using a code-based approach.
- In-depth understanding of MSIX app attach.
- Windows 10/11 multi-session operating system knowledge.
- Understanding of Office 365, Teams, Mobile Device Management, and Modern Desktop.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Identity and Access Management, and Single Sign-On.
- Knowledge of AVD monitoring using both Microsoft native tools and market-leading monitoring products.
- In-depth understanding of network configurations on Azure.
- Excellent communication skills.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Citrix and Horizon environments.
- Citrix, Azure AVD, Cloud PC, SCCM Co-Management, or VDI Management.
- Experience providing Technical Support.
- Experience working with global customers.
- AZ-900 Certification, or willingness to achieve the certificate in the desirable time.
- AZ-140 Certificate.
