Testing Engineer

Overview

Testing Engineer supporting quality control and test execution for products, systems, or software in the Motion business (High Power division).

What you'll do

• Assist local unit in developing capabilities to control products and systems.
• Ensure compliance with internal, customer, and industry requirements in cost-effective and safe working environments.
• Participate in development and implementation of standards and test methods for customer release.
• Conduct assigned test protocols for incoming, manufacturing, factory test labs, or final inspection.
• Support quality control needs for supplier quality, production quality, testing, and validation.
• Collect, record, and evaluate test data per internal specifications, customer norms, and applicable standards.

What you'll need

• Full-time degree in Electrical engineering.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in testing of induction motor/rotating machines/generators.
• Knowledge of key manufacturing process of induction motor.
• Ability to handle external customers.
• Knowledge of induction motors and synchronous generator testing methods.
• Understanding of HSE terms, concept application, reporting, and risks.
• Ensures integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities.
