Threat Analyst, Machine Learning Operations & Detection Efficacy (Remote)

Overview

Threat Analyst supporting Machine Learning Operations and detection efficacy in a remote role, handling both response and proactive detection analysis.

What you'll do

• Analyze detection data and customer-reported issues to identify improvements for machine learning models.
• Work to reduce and manage false positive detections.
• Analyze binary files to determine their legitimacy.
• Review product detections to ensure performance against company standards.
• Answer internal questions about customer threat detections.

What you'll need

• Understand types and functionality of malware.
• Experience with reverse engineering malware or malware operations.
• Knowledge of programming/scripting languages, especially Python.
• Fundamentals of binary file attributes (imports/exports and packers).
• Practical knowledge of research/collection skills and analytical methods.
• General understanding of threat/risk management and threat/risk assessment.
• Familiarity with various operating systems.
