Transaction Services - Java Developer - Tech Lead

Overview

Java Full Stack Developer will contribute to the development, enhancement and maintenance of the Transaction Services Application as a member of an agile scrum team, building challenging new financial products using cutting edge technology. The role is posted as Tech Lead.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, test and validate application solutions using Java for Finance platforms based on business requirements.
• Carry out end to end development from UI to backend, especially in JavaScript, React JS, Java, Spring Boot, Web UI, REST services using J2EE tech stack and Microservices.
• Work on critical development, support and enhancement requests, and ensure the availability, accessibility and accuracy of data delivered from these platforms.
• Debug issues, investigate application related problems, and handle and respond to critical application support issues raised by the business with appropriate fix or technical resolution within a short span of time.
• Understand business requirements and convert them to technical requirements.
• Carry out application development and integration work using PL/SQL and SQL programming.

What you'll need

• Sound fundamentals in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, design patterns, requirement understanding and unit testing.
• Strong working experience in Java architecture, development and related SDLC processes.
• Excellent JEE, messaging (MQ) and database knowledge.
• Sound knowledge or experience of PL/SQL and SQL programming to an extent to carry out necessary application development and integration work.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and aptitude to work in a complex and challenging work environment.
• 5+ years experience in React JS.
• 6+ years experience in Core Java / J2EE.
• 3+ years experience in SQL / PL/SQL (Oracle database preferred).
• 1+ years experience in MQ (Middle Tier) and Kafka (service to service communication).
• 3+ years experience in Spring Boot.

Nice to have

• Any public cloud experience.
• Kubernetes and Docker.
• Microservices architecture experience (knowledge and experience of microservices architecture and Kubernetes is highly desirable).
