Vice President - Data Scientist Fraud Analytics

Overview

Vice President - Data Scientist focused on fraud analytics within specialized analytics/decision management. Works with large and complex internal and external datasets to support business strategy and deliver complex analytics.

What you'll do

• Evaluate, recommend, and support implementation of business strategies using large internal and external datasets.
• Identify and compile datasets using tools such as SQL and Access to predict, improve, and measure key outcomes.
• Document data requirements and perform data collection, processing, cleaning, and exploratory data analysis.
• Use statistical models/algorithms and data visualization techniques as part of analysis.
• Assess risk in business decisions with consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citi, clients, and assets.
• Escalate, manage, and report control issues with transparency while adhering to applicable laws and policies.

What you'll need

• 6-10 years of experience.
• Work experience in a quantitative field.
• Experience in the Financial/Credit Card industry.
• Demonstrated ability in data retrieving and manipulation and strong analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including excellent MS Excel skills for analytic presentations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with organization, detail orientation, and adaptability to a matrix work environment.
• Bachelor’s/University degree; Master’s degree preferred.
