Welding Lead Engineer

Overview

Welding Lead Engineer responsible for developing, evaluating, and qualifying materials and special processes, with a focus on welding and material failure avoidance.

What you'll do

• Advise on material selection, property data, and failure avoidance.
• Develop and evaluate new materials using characterization, testing, and analysis.
• Develop, evaluate, and qualify special processes such as welding, heat treating, compounding, and extrusion.
• Write materials and process specifications and standards.
• Perform failure and predictive analyses to support product advancements.
• Interface with suppliers and subcontractor representatives on material-related activities.

What you'll need

• Graduate or post-graduate engineering qualification in Mechanical/Production/Automobile.
• Practical experience of 8+ years in design engineering for Automobile/material handling/Special purpose machines/Process equipment.
• Exposure to manufacturing/fabrication for 5+ years.
• Experience leading an engineering team.
