Manufacturing Engineer

Overview

Manufacturing Engineer responsible for developing and maintaining manufacturing methods, sequences, and processes for fabrication of parts and assemblies.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain methods, operating sequences, and processes for part and assembly fabrication.
• Coordinate release of product improvements and new products with other engineering functions.
• Use engineering principles to estimate and reduce manufacturing costs and improve product quality.
• Develop and use test procedures, evaluate test results, and assess work methods to identify root causes.
• Review inspection reports for compliance and train new suppliers to improve first pass yield.
• Analyze supplier commodity documents and correlate submitted documents with requirements.

What you'll need

• Knowledge of GD&T, including understanding GD&T symbols and measuring methods.
• Good knowledge of engineering dimension measuring tools, instruments, and equipment.
• Hands-on experience with CMM inspection.
• Good knowledge of relevant ASTM/ASME standards requirements.
• Good knowledge of special process testing and inspection methods (e.g., surface treatment and coating/plating inspection).
• Good knowledge of raw material reports such as material test certificates/reports.
• Basic knowledge of Teamcenter and SAP and engineering change management processes.
