Overview
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will develop and maintain fabrication methods, operating sequences, and processes. You’ll coordinate product improvements/new introductions and use engineering principles to reduce costs, improve quality, and establish time standards.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain manufacturing methods, operating sequences, and processes for fabrication activities.
- Review, define, and validate Bill of Materials (BOM) for CES requests and ensure timely closure of CES activities.
- Coordinate cross-functional engineering work to support product improvements and new product introductions.
- Estimate and reduce manufacturing costs, improve product quality, and determine time standards.
- Develop and execute test procedures, evaluate results, and improve work methods and policies.
- Identify root causes for assembly/system testing issues and define corrective actions; perform Process FMEA and prepare reports as needed.
- Lead Design for Excellence (DFx) initiatives and recommend tooling, fixtures, and process requirements.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical.
- 10-15 years of experience in the related field.
- Demonstrated conceptual knowledge and technical experience for everyday problem-solving on the job.
- Working knowledge of configuration and change management processes including ECR, ESW, NSR, CCR, and SPS.
- Understanding of SMBOM concepts and overall BOM structures for alignment across engineering and manufacturing.
- Proficient knowledge of Teamcenter and NX for product structure and change control.
- Ability to mentor, guide, and train junior engineers.
