Windows Virtualization Operations Engineer

Overview

Senior Windows Virtualization Operations Engineer responsible for managing, securing, and continuously improving enterprise infrastructure platforms.

What you'll do

• Administer and support enterprise Windows Server environments across physical and virtual platforms.
• Manage VMware vSphere environments including ESXi, vCenter, clusters, HA, DRS, and vMotion.
• Support Microsoft Hyper-V platforms including Failover Clustering, Live Migration, and VM lifecycle management.
• Lead patching and vulnerability remediation for Windows servers, virtualization hosts, and infrastructure components.
• Plan and execute firmware upgrades using compatibility matrices, maintenance windows, and rollback procedures.
• Provide technical leadership during major incidents, outages, and service restoration/on-call support.

What you'll need

• Typically 12-15 years of work experience.
• Expert knowledge of Windows Server administration, troubleshooting, hardening, performance analysis, and lifecycle management.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Kerberos, LDAP, replication, certificates, and identity security.
• Advanced knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, HA, DRS, vMotion, clusters, snapshots, and virtual networking.
• Hands-on knowledge of HPE ProLiant DL/BL servers, c7000, HPE OneView, and HPE SimpliVity.
• Advanced PowerShell scripting skills for automation, reporting, error handling, logging, and remediation.
