Job description

Overview

Individual contributor role supporting Workday HCM operations, with a focus on Security, Succession Planning, Talent & Performance, and Reporting, covering support tickets, troubleshooting and enhancements.

What you'll do

  • Own day-to-day Workday HCM operations with emphasis on Security, Succession Planning, Talent & Performance, and Reporting, including incidents, service requests, and minor-to-major enhancements.
  • Analyse and troubleshoot production issues involving security access, business process steps, talent processes, succession events, performance reviews, goals, and reporting; perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Configure and maintain Workday Security, including security groups, domain security policies, business process security policies, role assignments, user-based security, and role-based access controls, following least-privilege principles.
  • Configure and support Succession Planning, including succession pools, succession plans, talent cards, candidate readiness, critical positions, and related security and reporting.
  • Configure and support Talent & Performance processes, including goals, performance reviews, calibration, feedback, talent reviews, competencies, and development plans.
  • Develop and maintain Workday reports and data outputs, including custom reports, advanced reports, matrix reports, composite reports, dashboards, discovery boards, calculated fields, and Report-as-a-Service (RaaS).
  • Ensure secure access to sensitive talent, succession, and performance data; support periodic access reviews, segregation-of-duties assessments, and audit requests.
  • Partner with product, platform, engineering, HR, and business teams throughout the delivery lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, documentation, and hyper-care.
  • Support data validation, report reconciliation, downstream consumption, and integration troubleshooting as needed.

What you'll need

  • 6–8 years of experience in Workday as a consultant or a developer, not as a tester.
  • Proven experience managing Workday enhancement programs or Workday-related initiatives as an individual contributor.
  • Strong Workday Security experience, including security groups, domain security, business process security policies, user-based security, role assignments, and role-based access control.
  • Strong experience with Workday Succession Planning, including succession pools and plans, candidate readiness, critical roles, talent cards, and succession-related reporting.
  • Strong Workday Talent & Performance experience, including goal management, performance reviews, calibration, feedback, competencies, talent reviews, and development planning.
  • Proven Workday reporting skills, including custom and advanced reports, matrix and composite reports, calculated fields, dashboards, discovery boards, and RaaS.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot production issues, manage day-to-day support tickets, and deliver enhancements with minimal supervision.
  • Strong stakeholder management, analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into secure and scalable Workday solutions.

Nice to have

  • Absence and Time Tracking experience.
  • BIRT experience.
  • Working knowledge of at least one additional Workday functional area, such as Recruiting, Learning, Benefits, or Time and Absence.
