Overview
Software Engineer role focused on Java-based backend services and data processing, including building scalable data ingestion, transformation, and integrations.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain Java backend services and data processing components.
- Build scalable solutions for data ingestion, transformation, and system integration.
- Design and support backend and data-driven services using APIs, databases, and distributed patterns.
- Contribute to system design, implementation, testing, and production operations.
- Troubleshoot defects and production issues across application and data layers.
- Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, and engineering best practices.
- Work in Agile, cross-functional engineering teams and ramp into existing systems.
What you'll need
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on Java development skills.
- Experience with data-oriented systems, ETL, or backend data services.
- Understanding of APIs, databases, and distributed application design.
- Experience with Spark, Kafka, or other large-scale data platform technologies.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills.
- Ability to work effectively in collaborative Agile teams.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices.
- Experience with data pipeline operations.
- Experience supporting high-volume enterprise systems.
- Enterprise experience strongly preferred.
Details
- Location: Bengaluru, KA, India.
- Work requires APAC engagement and U.S. Central Time coverage with overlap with India Standard Time.
- Contract engagement with 100% allocation (approximately 40 hours per week), scheduled through March 31, 2027.
