Overview

2D Wiring Harness Design Engineer for the Engine/Genset domain in Pune. Responsible for 2D wiring harness design, schematic preparation, and BOM release for production-ready solutions.

What you'll do

• Design wiring harness systems for Engine and Genset applications with routing, thermal, vibration, and serviceability considerations.
• Prepare wiring schematics and harness connectivity deliverables using Zuken E3 Series.
• Run interference checks, routing harmonization, and packaging validation with engine and surrounding assemblies.
• Select connectors, splice components, and define wire lists, joints, and related wiring items.
• Create and release wiring harness BOMs in SAP with revision control and ECR/ECN management via PTC Windchill.
• Support prototype builds, installation trials, testing, and root cause analysis for harness-related issues.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 6+ years of experience.
• Strong expertise in Zuken E3 and Windchill for design, validation, and production release.
• Experience with SAP for BOM-related activities.
• Knowledge of wiring harness schematic design, load current calculations, and component selection.
• Knowledge of engine electrical systems including sensors, actuators, alternators, starter motors, and battery circuits.
