Accountant

Overview

Accountant supporting one client’s portfolio of multiple properties and tenants. The role focuses on monthly financial reporting, lease and billing activity, cash management, and property accounting.

What you'll do

• Prepare monthly client reporting, accrual-basis financial statements, variance explanations, and supplemental information.
• Prepare management-statement supporting documentation.
• Prepare and review bank reconciliation reports.
• Record new and amended tenant leases.
• Assist with commercial tenant billing.
• Complete month-end cash management and accrued-expense accounting.
• Prepare balance-sheet analyses, workpapers, reconciliations, and ad hoc reports.

What you'll need

• 2–3 years of accounting experience in property management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related business field.
• Thorough knowledge of commercial leases.
• Advanced Excel knowledge.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with multiple property managers and meet strict deadlines.

Nice to have

• Residential property management experience.
• Yardi experience.

• Compensation: $55,355.40–$65,124.00.
