Accounting Associate

Overview

Accounting Associate in the Global Finance Services division, performing Record to Report (RTR) activities for global entities (US, EAME, APAC) as part of the Centre of Excellence team at Bangalore Global Business Services.

What you'll do

• Manage financial record keeping, reporting, tax filing and other accounting functions for the organization.
• Provide timely and accurate financial record keeping and reporting as directed by management.
• Maintain financial records in accordance with GAAP and organizational standards.
• Create reports on financial performance and provide insightful analysis for internal and external use.
• Take part in special projects and ad hoc reporting requests upon request.
• Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring accounting procedures comply with GAAP.

What you'll need

• Qualified CA with 0-2 years relevant work experience, or Qualified CMA/MBA/CA Inter with 5-7 years relevant work experience in RTR Accounting, month end closings, balance sheet account reconciliations, etc.
• Application of accounting standards (US GAAP/IFRS/IND AS), especially in areas pertaining to Loans, Leases, Financial Instruments, Borrowings, etc.

Nice to have

• Experience working in Oracle ERP.
• Experience working in captive accounting service centres or large corporates with a Financial Services nature of business.
• Experience in data analytical skills and AI tools such as PowerBI and MS Copilot.
• Experience in understanding accounting/business issues and doing accounting investigation for root cause analysis.

Details

• Location: Bangalore, Karnataka; preferred base is Bangalore Shared Services, Whitefield.
• Onsite, five days a week in the office.
• Flexibility to work shift timings: EAME (1 PM to 10 PM); US Non MEC (3 PM to 12 PM); US MEC (6 PM to 3 AM).
• Open to work in shifts.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
