Overview

Join Caterpillar’s Global Business Services Record to Report (RTR) team in the Global Finance Services Division to perform RTR activities for global entities in the US, EAME and APAC as part of the Centre of Excellence team in Bangalore.

What you'll do

• Provide timely and accurate financial record keeping and reporting as directed by management.
• Maintain financial records in accordance with GAAP and organizational standards.
• Create reports on financial performance and provide insightful analysis for internal and external use.
• Take part in special projects and ad hoc reporting requests upon request.
• Maintain, implement and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP.

What you'll need

• 3-4 years of Accounting Degree or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in captive accounting service centres or large corporates with Manufacturing & Service nature of business.
• Basics in handling multiple ERP's and varied accounting tools.
• Basics in Data Analytical skills and Interpretation of results.
• Basics in understanding accounting/business issues.
• Flexibility to work in multiple shift timings (APAC, EAME, US).
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Analytical thinking.
• Effective communications.
• Managing multiple priorities.
• Problem solving.
• Accounting knowledge, including accounting methods, processes and tools; maintaining and preparing financial statements and reports; working with financial transactions and related documentation; classifying and recording financial data; maintaining existing charts of accounts; and following regulations for entering and reporting financial content in major accounting systems.
• Financial analysis knowledge, including reading, interpreting and drawing accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
• Financial reporting knowledge, including creating and maintaining accurate and thorough financial reports.

Nice to have

• Professional Certification from CA/CMA institute/US CPA/CMA preferable.

Details

• Based in Bangalore, India, with a preference for the Whitefield Office.
• The position requires the candidate to work a 5-a-day-week schedule in the office.
• Work may involve APAC, EAME and US shift timings.
