Accounting Specialist - Pune

Overview

Support the Finance Senior Manager with invoicing, billing, accounting operations, reporting, process improvement and operational efficiency. The role performs daily tasks according to pre-established guidelines to ensure invoicing and billing reflect the correct transactions.

What you'll do

• Calculate sales compensation commissions and invoicing.
• Analyze accounts and specialized reports, investigate discrepancies, validate calculations against compensation plan rules and provide decision-making insights.
• Carry out monthly accruals and reconciliations.
• Participate in process improvement projects and ensure effective accounting operations and compliance with internal controls, policies and regulations.
• Prepare and generate reports and presentations for ad hoc internal reviews.
• Maintain and manage dashboards and MI, retrieve and consolidate large data sets, and illuminate standard reporting metrics within custom dashboards.
• Assist the Senior Manager in collaborating with stakeholders to develop standardized team processes and define “how we work”.

What you'll need

• Analytical skills.
• Good written and verbal communication and consultation skills in English.
• Experience in sales compensation.
• 2-3 years of experience in accounting.
• Familiarity with accounting standards.
• A degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Change Management experience.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including modeling, advanced formulas, pivot tables and macros.
• Ability to work independently, rigorously, in an organized and disciplined manner.
• Ability to excel in a team environment and collaborate and liaise with geographically distributed teams.
• Self-starter with a “can-do” attitude, a service mindset and a proactive approach to responding to requests.
• Professional, detail-oriented and organized, with outstanding follow-up abilities.
• Enthusiastic, with a strong desire to succeed.

Nice to have

• Hands-on proficiency in one or more business intelligence, visualization and advanced analytics tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, Snowflake or other similar systems.
• Experience in the EU/global payments industry.
