Accounts Payable Analyst

Overview

The Accounts Payable Analyst processes vendor payments, performs quality checks and vendor reconciliations, and handles day-to-day accounts payable activities.

What you'll do

• Index invoices and ensure invoices are processed on the ERP system.
• Index and action internal and external help-desk queries in a timely manner.
• Help the bank reconciliation team with open items from AP payments.
• Update vendor master data details and changes with proper supporting documents and according to company policies.
• Create new vendors on VMD.
• Review coding details and other invoice information as a quality checker after invoice entry by the Data Entry Specialist.
• Process weekly and ad-hoc payments based on requirements.
• Ensure the settlement run is created and communicated with Treasury for approval.
• Perform vendor account reconciliations and work closely with vendors on vendor statement reconciliation issues.
• Work closely with the Procurement team on PO-related issues.
• Review employee expense reimbursement reports created on Workday and credit card expenses to ensure spending complies with company policy.
• Maintain records and reports related to the AP subledger and payments.
• Ensure payments are properly applied by vendors according to remittance advices generated from the payment run.
• Extend support during the close to ensure all invoices are processed before close.
• Support audits with requested documents and other reports.
• Perform other reasonable duties as requested.

What you'll need

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in payment processing, quality checking and expense review.
• High-level accuracy in processing financial information and maintaining confidentiality.
• Traits of being a team player.
• A continuous improvement and critical mindset.
• Solid verbal and nonverbal communication skills.
• Fluent English.

Nice to have

• Preferably, a bachelor’s degree with Finance or Accounting as the major subject.
