Actuarial - Colleague - Manager - Liability Valuation Team

Overview

Actuarial Colleague/Manager role in the Liability Valuation Team at M&G India, responsible for explaining changes in liabilities and providing specialist actuarial guidance.

What you'll do

• Produce and be accountable for understanding and explaining the change in liabilities to key stakeholders with clear controls.
• Provide specialist technical advice and guidance on the application of actuarial principles and tools to support business objectives.
• Coach and guide less experienced members of the team.
• Provide technical expertise to design technical solutions as part of change projects within M&G UK Finance Reporting where required.
• Manage key stakeholder relationships, including the Internal Actuarial Valuation consolidation team, Chief Actuary Team and External Auditors.
• Make suggestions for improvements to the work of the team, based on previous experience and knowledge of similar situations.

What you'll need

• 3-5 years of relevant Actuarial experience.
• Graduate in any discipline.
• Studying for and making satisfactory progress with the Institute / Faculty exams as defined in the Mumbai Actuarial Study Support Policy.
• Excellent technical actuarial knowledge, with attention to detail.
• Confidence and excellent communication.
• Motivated and willing to take responsibility and ownership of the work assigned.
• Demonstrable experience of problem solving and providing practical solutions to complex problems.
• Commercial aptitude and the ability to consider the impact of decisions.
• Strong commercial and collaboration skills.
• Ability to express own viewpoint and to communicate clearly on complex actuarial issues.

Nice to have

• Degree preferably in Finance or management.
