Overview
Support the design and ramp-up of plants and stations for Airbus industrial systems, including digital manufacturing and digital twin capabilities across existing (A320, A330, A350) and Zero-E programs.
What you'll do
- Design plant layouts for different production rates, with 3D simulations for logistics and human path validation.
- Iterate on alternative solutions and execute trade-offs using industrial KPI simulations.
- Define forward and inverse kinematics to conceptualize new jig designs and perform 3D flow simulation.
- Automate industrial system design with robotics simulations (material handling, spot welding, arc welding).
- Perform ergonomic analysis and evaluation for worker health and safety.
- Manage design change, release process and configuration management within the industrial setup.
- Use augmented and virtual reality for station and jig design validation.
- Implement lean manufacturing using shop-floor knowledge when designing or improving industrial systems.
- Apply industrial engineering principles to define the most suitable, optimized layout that adheres to the target takt.
- Create and validate build sequences.
- Understand and implement industrial tolerancing using GD&T.
- Read design and manufacturing drawings to understand or design 2D/3D layouts, jigs and tools.
- Develop NC programming and simulation for deployment on the shop floor.
- Technically lead development projects from the conceptual phase of R&T projects through implementation, fostering a co-design approach.
- Manage stakeholders to drive architecture projects to meet requirements and best performance.
- Capture and analyze stakeholder needs and define architectural solutions to meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Align architecture strategy with organizational business goals and long-term strategic planning.
