AI Automation Engineer

Overview

The AI Automation Engineer designs and delivers intelligent automation solutions across Genesys IT, reducing manual toil and accelerating how work gets done.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and deploy automation solutions including Playwright-based browser workflows, API integrations, and AI-augmented pipelines.
• Maintain and support existing RPA automations by diagnosing failures and handling changes to dependent systems.
• Convert process maps and business requirements into maintainable automation code with error handling, logging, and recovery logic.
• Prototype and productionize agentic workflows using modern frameworks and integrate LLM capabilities.
• Connect automation workflows to enterprise AI platforms via APIs for context-aware process execution.
• Instrument automations with telemetry (execution volume, error rates, and time saved) to support continuous improvement.

What you'll need

• 3+ years building automation solutions in a professional context that reached production.
• Hands-on experience with at least one RPA platform (Automation Anywhere, Power Automate, UiPath, or equivalent) including live maintenance.
• Proficiency in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript for automation engineering with maintainable code.
• Experience working with REST APIs, including authentication, rate limiting, error handling, and multi-step workflows.
• Ability to map and decompose business processes to identify automation fit and design architecture before coding.
