Overview
AI Workflow Engineer (LATAM) building and shipping AI-powered workflow solutions for business teams through Backblaze’s AI Program Office.
What you'll do
- Build and ship scoped AI workflow solutions including prompt layers, automation flows, lightweight agents, RAG, and API integrations.
- Create working prototypes quickly to demonstrate possibilities to business teams, then refine based on real feedback.
- Translate workflow assessments into technical designs and own the build through to deployable solutions.
- Maintain solution documentation for handoff, iteration, and audit.
- Work inside business functions (e.g., Finance, HR, Legal, Marketing Ops, Customer Success) to map workflows and identify leverage points.
- Support user acceptance testing and early adoption, troubleshooting issues and iterating based on usage.
What you'll need
- 2–4 years of experience including meaningful time in a business-facing function (not just Engineering/IT).
- Hands-on experience building with AI tools such as prompt engineering, automation platforms (Make/Zapier/n8n or equivalent), API integrations, and working familiarity with RAG/agent frameworks.
- Ability to understand messy real-world processes and build something faster or better.
- Comfort working with non-technical stakeholders to explain work and gather requirements without a formal spec.
- Strong enough with code or no-code tools to make solutions deployable independently.
- Ability to manage multiple active projects at different stages.
- Genuine curiosity about how companies work (org chart, incentives, handoffs, bottlenecks).
