AJO Senior Consultant (Database)

Overview

Senior Consultant (Database) role on the AJO platform at VML Enterprise Solutions, working on growth systems and marketing modernization for global clients.

What you'll need

• Strong hands-on experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript ES6+, and at least one modern framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Solid server-side development experience in one or more technologies such as Java with Spring or Spring Boot, Python with Django, Flask, or FastAPI, Node.js with Express, or .NET/C#. Experience should include building, securing, and consuming services.
• Hands-on experience designing and integrating REST APIs and webhooks, working with JSON or XML payloads, using token-based or OAuth authentication, and validating APIs with tools such as Postman, Insomnia, or Swagger.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting language, preferably Python or JavaScript, for data manipulation, transformation, automation, and troubleshooting.
• Strong command of at least one major database platform such as SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or a similar system, including writing and optimizing complex queries.
• Practical experience building extract, transform, and load pipelines and integrating data across multiple source and target systems.
• Ability to design and work with relational and marketing data models, including querying datasets, creating joins and aggregates, applying filters, defining keys, and setting indexes.
• Demonstrated ability and eagerness to quickly learn, adapt, and become productive on a new enterprise marketing platform.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills with a structured approach to troubleshooting across user interface, services, integration, and data layers.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of TypeScript, responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and templating.
