Analyst - Billing

Overview

The Analyst – Billing role in Finance Shared Services is responsible for delivering accurate, timely and compliant client billing, including sales invoices, credit notes, project accounting support and reporting.

What you'll do

• Analyse unbilled (WIP) details and liaise with Project Managers for timely billing
• Reconcile time and expenses submitted by Project Managers
• Prepare and issue sales invoices and credit notes with necessary supporting documentation after obtaining approvals
• Handle a large framework and collaborate with Project Managers and Client
• Perform spend analysis and staff rate calculation
• Support internal and external audit requirements
• Work with Project Managers and the Cash collections team to resolve billing queries and collect cash in a timely manner
• Support month-end billing activities and ensure completion of all deliverables
• Ensure billing accuracy through routine checks and validations
• Contribute to process optimization initiatives to enhance billing efficiency and accuracy

What you'll need

• Strong working knowledge of billing and receivables processes
• Proficiency in ERP billing modules (Oracle or similar platforms)
• Advanced MS Excel skills (lookups, pivots, analysis)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, especially while validating PO/contracts and preparing invoices
• EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) consulting business acumen
• Ability to prioritize workload effectively and meet deadlines
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to work independently

Nice to have

• B.Com / MBA in Finance
• 2–4 years of experience in Order to Cash processes, preferably in a Shared Services environment
