Analyst - Process Analytics - Claims & Underwriting 5B

Overview

Analyst role in Domain Analytics for Claims & Underwriting, supporting exposure management and property catastrophe modeling work for insurance clients.

What you'll do

• Check submissions for completeness of data provided by underwriters and follow up with underwriters as required (e.g. SOV, Slip).
• Scrub data by converting client-provided Excel data into AIR/RMS/client proprietary tool format.
• Code COPE information.
• Import and validate exposure data in AIR/RMS.
• Geocode all locations and analyze exposure.
• Read and interpret slips and binders to identify terms and conditions.
• Generate insights that enable better risk management based on knowledge of client data.
• Deliver time-bound tasks.

What you'll need

• Understanding of insurance layer structure.
• Knowledge of P&C Insurance.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Working knowledge of RMS/AIR - Touchstone.
• Excellent analytical ability.
• High speed of execution.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle work pressure.
• Problem-solving skills and a highly motivated, great-teammate attitude.
• Bachelors in Business Analytics, Computer Science, or Statistics, or Masters in Data Science.
• Required skills: Catastrophe Modeling, Catastrophe Risk Management, SQL Script, VBA Macros.
• Language: English, English Language Proficiency - Intermediate - B1.

Nice to have

• Relevant experience in Exposure Management / Property modeling.
• SQL knowledge.
• Certifications: Associate in Claims (AIC) - The Institutes (USA), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) - American College, or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) - Insurance Institute of America (IIA).
