Android Graphics Expert

Overview

Android Graphics Expert to design, develop, and optimize high-performance graphics and rendering pipelines on Android devices.

What you'll do

• Design and implement real-time rendering pipelines for Android.
• Develop 2D/3D rendering systems using OpenGL ES and/or Vulkan.
• Implement shader programs using GLSL and SPIR-V.
• Optimize graphics performance for FPS, memory, and power.
• Work with Android graphics stack components including SurfaceFlinger, HWComposer, Skia, and RenderThread.
• Debug rendering issues and address frame drops, jank, and ANR related to graphics bottlenecks.
• Profile GPU and CPU usage and optimize texture handling, memory bandwidth, overdraw, and frame timing.

What you'll need

• Expertise in OpenGL ES and Vulkan for Android graphics and rendering.
• Knowledge of Android’s graphics stack and system-level debugging.
• Experience debugging rendering issues across device variants.
• Ability to profile GPU/CPU usage and use tools such as Android GPU Inspector, Perfetto, Systrace, and RenderDoc.
• Understanding of AOSP graphics pipeline and buffer management.
• Experience validating rendering across multiple Android versions and device compatibility.
• Ability to ensure smooth behavior across refresh rates (60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz).
