Application Associate

Overview

Application Associate on the Financial Modeling Group, serving as a subject matter expert on S&P Capital IQ Pro, Capital IQ and Visible Alpha, consulting with clients on Excel add-in solutions and building financial models.

What you'll do

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert on S&P Capital IQ Pro, S&P Capital IQ and Visible Alpha data and leverage existing capabilities to create new and innovative solutions.
• Understand client-specific requirements across all covered data sets and products.
• Work with clients across North America, EMEA and APAC and address their requirements.
• Create quantitative models, screens and presentations for clients using the suite of products.
• Identify and create new model solutions utilizing the expertise gained from all datasets and applications.
• Support clients' research by responding to requests that come through calls, e-mails and meetings.
• Partner with Product Management on timely and thorough testing of products, with an eye towards an exceptional client experience.
• Make proactive suggestions around product usability, presentation and data quality.
• Work with product experts on projects which develop and improve subject matter expertise.
• Drive team initiatives and knowledge-sharing activities to support the culture of learning and development.
• Create new opportunities for Automation and LEAN to improve workflow efficiency.

What you'll need

• Master's Degree in Finance or Business.
• 0 to 2 years of experience.
• Strong understanding and knowledge of the fundamentals of business, financial statements and investments.
• Proficient in research and analysis.
• Good knowledge and understanding of capital and commodity markets.
• Inclination towards the client-oriented approach.
• Succinct communication skills and strong collaboration skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workflow with little supervision.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint knowledge.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts.

Nice to have

• VBA Knowledge is a plus.
