Application Engineer- Fire & Security

Overview

Application Engineer for Fire & Security, designing systems such as fire alarms, access control, intruder alarms, and CCTV to account standards.

What you'll do

• Design fire and security systems (fire alarm, access control, intruder alarm, CCTV) per account standards.
• Work independently applying established engineering standards and practices.
• Act as the customer interface and ensure projects meet schedule, budget, and technical specifications.
• Perform hardware detail design and engineering/application development tasks (including battery and voltage drop calculations).
• Read and interpret control narratives, logic diagrams, and Io matrix.
• Monitor work scope vs project plan, manage change control, and identify risks/opportunities.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure final deliverables meet functional specifications and standards.

What you'll need

• Have 3–8 years’ experience in Fire & security system design.
• Have mandatory fire code and security domain knowledge.
• Hold Diploma/BE in Electrical or Electronics.
• Be knowledgeable of AutoCAD.
• Have good communication skills.
• Be proficient in applying established standards and practices.
