Overview
Application Engineer II supporting system analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications and databases, plus backend performance optimization and data integration.
What you'll do
- Perform intermediate-level system analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications and databases.
- Integrate third-party products and support backend performance optimization.
- Translate technical specifications into code for moderately complex new/enhancement projects.
- Develop, test, and produce reports, and support automation via test implementation.
- Deploy code into development, test, and production environments on schedule and provide follow-up production support.
- Submit change control requests, document changes, and follow software development methodology and architecture standards.
- Contribute to system performance through efficient database design and code enhancements for scalability.
What you'll need
- 3+ years of experience in application development, system analysis, or database management.
- 5-8 years of experience in Java, Angular/Rest, and AWS.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science or IT, or BCA.
- Experience with database design, SQL, and data optimization for high-performance applications.
- Familiarity with API development, integration, and third-party software integration.
- Must have skills: Java, Spring Boot, Angular/React, AWS, SQL queries, CI/CD, and TDD/BDD.
- Experience with Agile tools including Confluence and JIRA.
Nice to have
- Python and experience with legacy migration to cloud.

- Role location is Hyderabad, Telangana at Vanguard India.
