Overview

Applied Scientist III - Recommendation System is a Machine Learning Engineering role focused on building, deploying, testing, and enhancing ML software solutions.

What you'll do

• Architect and implement end-to-end solutions for accelerating experimentation and model building.
• Create microservices and APIs to serve ML models and ML services.
• Design and implement product ideas and proof-of-concepts.
• Collaborate with data scientists on ML data pipelines, platforms, and infrastructure.
• Work with engineering, product, and newsroom teams to define and deploy ML/AI products.
• Explore and onboard new platforms, technologies, and algorithms.
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience in an ML Engineering role delivering high-impact ML solutions.
• Own end-to-end project delivery while maintaining transparent communication.
• Hands-on experience and strong theoretical understanding of recommender systems.
• Hands-on experience with Python, Golang, Spark, or other open-source software with data science libraries.
• Strong experience in advanced math and statistics.
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in computer science, Mathematics, Statistics, or other analytical fields.
