ARAS PLM Developer

Overview

Airbus is seeking a Software Developer to design, customise, implement, develop and support PLM projects using ARAS PLM for Functional Design. The role involves working across the product life cycle and supporting reliable, secure IT products, infrastructure and applications.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, unit test, implement and support technical solutions using full-stack development tools and technologies.
• Collaborate with and across Agile teams.
• Work as part of a multi-functional Agile team including business experts, data analysts and architects.
• Contribute to idea generation, design, prototyping, planning, development, testing, deployment, operations and documentation across the product life cycle.
• Advise on necessary software and infrastructure changes and evolution.
• Manage Level 3 support incidents, including analysing and resolving complex technical issues handed over from Level 1 support.
• Evaluate the performance and effectiveness of IT solutions and recommend continuous improvements.
• Ensure on-time delivery and quality, including first-time-right delivery, of projects.
• Bring innovative, cost-effective solutions.
• Achieve customer satisfaction.
• Handle subjects from demand management through development and support.
• Challenge client needs and provide appropriate solutions.

What you'll need

• A Bachelor/Master Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a relevant field.
• 3-5 years of software development experience.
• 2-4 years of experience in Aras PLM implementation projects.
• Ability to develop APIs to integrate Aras with other PLM and legacy systems.
• Ability to work on Aras PLM development, customisation and deployment.
• Ability to understand requirements and build custom solutions in Aras PLM modules.
• Experience with SQL Server databases and SQL scripting.
• Experience in website development activities using JavaScript, ASP.NET, C#, and AML.
• Experience in rich client development and C#.
• Knowledge of Waterfall, Agile or SAFe project methodologies.
• Knowledge of VersionOne, JIRA and GSuite.
• Advanced-level English.
• Attention to detail, passion for software and technologies that solve problems, curiosity, and a team-player attitude.
• Willingness to learn, share, establish innovative ways of working and influence culture change.
• Awareness of compliance risks and commitment to act with integrity and follow internal policies and procedures.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of XHTML, XSL and CSS3.
• 6 years of experience in various Aras modules in latest versions.
• Ability to work with Aras utilities such as batch loader.
• Ability to install, upgrade and carry out administration activities in Aras applications.
• Experience with cloud computing services.
• Experience with bug tracking and issue tracking using Agility.
• Knowledge of Cyber Security and Export Control regulations.
• German knowledge.

• Location: Bangalore Area.
• Employment type: Permanent.
• Willingness to work in European shift times when needed, up to 10:30 PM IST in summer and 11:30 PM IST in winter.
• Willingness to travel to Europe for a short term.
