Overview
As a Skywise Foundry Developer, you will design and build solutions for Airbus on Skywise, based on Palantir Foundry, by understanding business requirements. You will define best practices and golden rules to ensure application quality, capture learnings, and share knowledge within the team.
What you'll do
- Partner with the Product Owner/Project Leader to prioritize, groom, and maintain the sprint backlog within an Agile/Scrum framework.
- Design, develop, test, document, support, and operate Skywise applications based on Palantir Foundry involving data engineering, data analysis, and visualization.
- Design and develop high-quality, scalable, and reliable solutions.
- Design comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and end-to-end test cases covering complex data workflows and UI interactions.
- Learn and adopt AI technologies in development.
- Log, track, and prioritize system defects using Agility or ServiceNow and resolve them according to defined timelines.
- Support peer reviews and take responsibility for the quality of delivered applications.
- Develop awareness of relevant Quality and Project management practices and demonstrate compliance.
- Support new business opportunities by working closely with relevant stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to increase or optimize operational efficiency and ensure meaningful closure.
- Capture learnings and share knowledge within the team.
- Contribute to knowledge management for applications managed by the team.
- Learn and understand new business verticals to translate their needs into technical requirements for development.
- Build and maintain healthy relationships with business stakeholders.
- Maintain customer focus and use interpersonal skills in stakeholder interactions.
- Design and build Skywise solutions by understanding business requirements.
- Suggest and define best practices and golden rules that ensure the quality of applications delivered by the team.
What you'll need
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, data science, or software application development.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience on Palantir Foundry.
- Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders transnationally.
- Strong proficiency in Pyspark, Python, SQL, Javascript, and Typescript.
- Strong hands-on working experience with Palantir Foundry tools including Code repository, Pipeline builder, Access management, Ontology, Object explorer, Workshop, Templates, Marketplace, Quiver, and Slate.
- Ability to implement optimizations at scale on Pyspark or Java-based decoding pipelines in Foundry Code Repositories to translate raw, compressed, or binary formats into clean, structured datasets.
- Knowledge and experience of AIP tools on Foundry.
- Strong ability to leverage AI tools in development and operational workflows.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database systems.
- Strong understanding of data governance and security aspects.
- Knowledge of some of the following products/tools: Git, Confluence, Agility, Jira, or similar.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team.
- Willingness to work in the CET timezone based on project need.
- Strong willingness to continuously learn and explore.
Nice to have
- Past experience in the aviation or manufacturing domain.
- Prior working experience with aircraft sensor data and time series data processing in Skywise.
- Prior working knowledge of AWS.
