Assistant / Deputy Manager - Procurement Air Cargo (Pricing)

Overview

Responsible for region-wide air freight pricing (import and export), supporting Sales, Networks and peers, including carrier management and product-related functions, with decision-making authority on commercial grounds.

What you'll do

• Support Product to ensure fast and accurate responses to pricing and quoting for all modes of airfreight from internal and external customers and sources, e.g. CP network, Sales, overseas offices and RFQs, by obtaining and compiling selling rates for business not covered by existing rate agreements.
• Manage carrier relationships for the region.
• Receive pricing and quotation requests via the Quote log (Quom) from Sales, Customer Service and/or Operations on behalf of customers, and ensure competitive quotes are provided.
• Ensure all responses to customers are provided accurately within agreed timeframes.
• Regularly review existing quotations for house and sales accounts, and renegotiate and/or update as required across all relevant systems and rate sheets.
• Work with the Air Product Manager and Operations team to negotiate with airlines for better rates and establish competitive solutions with Sales.
• Ensure full utilization of the internal system for recording and generating quotes.
• Act as a resource for problem solving and provide guidance to pricing staff, customer service and sales staff in relation to area of expertise and responsibility.
• Act as a linkage ensuring smooth interaction between pricing staff and the client base (sales force and operations).
