Assistant Finance Manager – Finance & Accounting, Bangalore

Overview

Assistant Finance Manager in the Finance & Accounting team, based in Bangalore, reporting to the Finance Controller. The role manages the accounting department and the accounting control process for the business division.

What you'll do

• Close monthly books of accounts for the Business Division and prepare the necessary schedules and reconciliations.
• Lead and manage the GL and AP teams.
• Monitor and control operating expenses.
• Report numbers to headquarters in a pre-defined format with utmost accuracy.
• Review the P/L and Balance Sheet monthly with the relevant team.
• Handle internal audit, tax audit and statutory audit.
• Handle the annual balance sheet reviews.
• Drive policies and suggest process improvements.
• Monitor internal controls and ensure they are in place and effective.
• Ensure physical verification of inventory and other fixed assets.
• Drive the collection team for efficient accounts receivable management.
• Work closely with the Finance Controller on annual budgeting and forecasting.

What you'll need

• Chartered Accountant.
• Minimum 5-7 years of total experience in industry.
• Strong GL accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
• Good understanding of India GAAPs and ICFR requirements.
• Strong understanding of GST structure and mechanism.
• Strong MS Excel knowledge.
• Good commercial sense and business understanding.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in a multinational organisation.
• High levels of personal organisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under own initiative and under stretched targets.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI.
