Assistant Manager - Engineering

Overview

Assistant Manager - Engineering oversees daily engineering department operations to ensure efficient building performance, safety, reliability, and tenant satisfaction.

What you'll do

• Oversee day-to-day engineering operations, including preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, building codes, and industry best practices.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures to improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure timely completion of work orders, maintenance projects, and capital improvements.
• Coordinate and supervise external contractors and vendors.
• Maintain accurate equipment maintenance, repair, and warranty records.
• Participate in development and management of the annual engineering department budget.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within commercial real estate.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems.
• Experience managing and supervising a team of engineering professionals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
