Assistant Manager - Planning & Reporting

Overview

Assistant Manager for Planning & Reporting in the Central/Americas Reporting Centre of Excellence, based in Bangalore. You will drive month-end reporting, FP&A analytics, budgeting/forecasting support, and client reporting for the Americas region.

What you'll do

• Manage key deliverables for the monthly close process within agreed timelines and quality standards.
• Support Americas region and markets with budget, quarterly, and monthly forecast submissions.
• Partner with Group FP&A and Group FAR teams to deliver analytics, compliance, quality, and timeliness for month-end reporting.
• Prepare and review periodic reporting packs (monthly/quarterly/annual), including dashboards and presentations.
• Monitor forecast and budget reporting, and perform data modelling to analyze movements.
• Challenge markets on assumptions and appropriate use of account lines, brands, functions, segments, and classification of exceptional items.
• Identify automation needs, collaborate on automation solutions, and handle ad hoc requests and compliance.

What you'll need

• At least 5 years extensive work experience.
• Good analytical skills for Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet review.
• Exposure to SAP BPC (Business Planning & Consolidation) & SAC (added advantage).
• Ability to provide insights and explain the story behind data for the assigned audience.
• Strong understanding of materiality in the context of work performed and reporting audience.
• Excellent communication skills for interactions with key stakeholders in DAN leadership.
• Agile/flexible mindset for changing and ad hoc requirements.

Details

• Based out of Bangalore; must be/relocate to Bangalore.
• Work timings: 7 days/month in US time zone (6PM to 3AM IST), remaining month 12PM to 9PM.
• Open to working in US time zone as needed.
• Employment type: Full time; Contract type: Permanent.
