Assistant Project Lead - Mechanical

Overview

Assistant Project Lead (Mechanical) overseeing mechanical installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting at project sites, and leading site engineers.

What you'll do

• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical components at project sites.
• Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of construction plant equipment, hoists, or installed HVAC/pumping systems.
• Diagnose critical mechanical faults on-site to reduce operational downtime.
• Mentor junior site engineers and coordinate with civil or electrical teams.
• Ensure adherence to safety norms (ASHRAE, NBC, or OSHA standards) and sign off on service/inspection logs.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8-10 years of experience in mixed use project, hotel, retail commercial projects.
• Deep knowledge of hydraulics, rotating equipment, or HVAC design.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Navisworks, or Revit MEP for drawing reviews.
• Strong vendor coordination, spare parts management, and client communication.
