Assistant Project Lead - QAQC

Overview

Manage quality assurance and quality control for JLL's Data Centre project in Mumbai, ensuring all construction work meets required standards of quality, safety and compliance.

What you'll do

• Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive QA/QC programs for the Data Centre project
• Establish quality standards and ensure adherence throughout all phases of construction
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify compliance with project specifications, building codes and industry standards
• Review and approve quality control plans submitted by contractors and subcontractors
• Manage and analyze quality-related data and prepare detailed reports for project management and stakeholders
• Identify non-conformances and implement corrective actions
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers and other team members to resolve quality issues
• Oversee material testing and ensure all materials meet required specifications
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local building codes and regulations
• Train site personnel on quality control procedures and best practices
• Liaise with external quality auditors and regulatory inspectors as needed
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for quality management processes

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (BE Civil)
• 9-12 years of experience in construction quality management, with a focus on Data Centre projects
• Proven track record in implementing and managing QA/QC systems in large-scale construction projects
• Strong knowledge of Indian building codes, standards and regulations
• Proficiency in quality management software and tools
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Exceptional communication skills in English and Hindi

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Marathi
• Valid professional certification in quality management (e.g., CQE, CQA)
• Master's degree in construction management or related field
• Familiarity with international quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001)
• Experience with sustainable construction practices and green building certifications
• Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) software
• Understanding of Lean Construction principles
