Overview
Assistant Project Manager for civil engineering projects, responsible for planning, design, and execution with technical leadership and coordination with multiple stakeholders.
What you'll do
- Lead design and analysis for civil engineering projects (roads, bridges, buildings, water systems, and infrastructure).
- Review and approve engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and reports.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and risks.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site staff.
- Coordinate with architects, surveyors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with local codes, industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
- Conduct site inspections and resolve technical or construction-related issues.
- Prepare and review tender documents, cost estimates, and contract documents.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
- Minimum 8–12 years of relevant civil engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of civil design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD, ETABS).
- Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and project management principles.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to quality and safety.
