Assistant Project Manager - IBMS

Overview

Johnson Controls is seeking an Assistant Project Manager (IBMS) to manage end-to-end execution of Integrated Building Management Systems projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality compliance, customer satisfaction and financial performance.

What you'll do

• Manage the complete project execution lifecycle from project handover to final commissioning and closure.
• Plan, monitor and control project schedules, budgets, resources and deliverables.
• Coordinate with customers, consultants, contractors, vendors and internal teams.
• Lead site execution activities, including installation, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and project management standards.
• Review project drawings, BOQs, technical specifications and project documentation.
• Track project progress, identify risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Monitor project financials, including cost control, billing, collections and margin improvement.
• Conduct regular project review meetings with stakeholders.
• Support customer relationship management and address project escalations effectively.
• Ensure all project documentation, reports and closure documents are maintained accurately.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of experience.
• Strong experience in CCTV Systems.
• Strong experience in Access Control Systems (ACS).
• Strong experience in Building Management Systems (BMS) / Controls.
• Strong experience in Integrated Building Management Systems (IBMS).
• Strong experience in ELV Systems Integration.
• Understanding of electrical, networking and control system architecture.
• Experience in testing, commissioning and system integration activities.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of project planning tools (MS Project preferred).
• Project Management certification.
