Associate Engineer

Overview

Associate Engineer role in RTX’s Product Development team, focused on designing and developing avionics software for aerospace systems.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and enhance avionics software solutions for advanced aerospace products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across systems engineering, hardware, software architecture, UX, and product management.
• Develop safety-critical embedded software using C, Python, and MATLAB/Simulink.
• Participate across the full software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
• Apply DO-178C processes for software development and verification compliance.
• Perform structural coverage analysis and support unit test automation.
• Work with configuration management and change control tools like DOORS, JAMA, SVN, and JIRA.

What you'll need

• B.E./B.Tech (Computer/Electronics/Electrical or related discipline).
• 1–3 years of industry experience in Avionics Software Engineering.
• Strong programming experience in C and Python.
• Hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink software development.
• Good understanding of DO-178C software development and verification processes.
• Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with configuration management and change control tools including DOORS, JAMA, SVN, and JIRA.
