Overview
Associate Engineer supporting aerospace mechanical product development through multibody dynamics, structural analysis, simulation integration, and technical documentation.
What you'll do
- Perform kinematic and dynamic analysis of complex mechanical systems using multibody dynamics techniques.
- Develop and correlate rigid- and flexible-body models for nacelles, landing gears, flight controls, and door systems.
- Provide simulation insights, trade studies, sensitivity studies, and optimization support for product development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on mechanical system development programs.
- Develop free-body diagrams and verify simulations using first-principles calculations.
- Perform MBD-control co-simulations with MATLAB/Simulink models.
- Prepare analysis reports, engineering manuals, and certification documentation.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Automotive, or a related engineering discipline.
- 2–4 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience with rigid- and flexible-body multibody dynamic simulations.
- Experience with linear and nonlinear structural simulations.
- Experience with aerospace mechanical systems or comparable complex mechanical products.
- Working knowledge of structural analysis tools such as MSC Nastran, Ansys, or Abaqus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with MSC ADAMS, HyperMesh, MSC Patran, FEMAP, or CATIA V5/V6.
- Aircraft subsystem development experience involving nacelles, landing gear, or control surfaces.
- Aircraft certification and qualification knowledge.
- Simulation correlation to physical testing.
- Basic Python, MATLAB, or similar scripting experience.
