Associate Engineer

Overview

Perform structural analysis of aircraft components and assemblies as part of an integrated engineering team.

What you'll do

• Perform static, fatigue, damage-tolerance, vibration, and other structural analyses.
• Evaluate structural integrity using hand calculations and finite element methods.
• Draw free-body diagrams and generate applied, interface, and internal load distributions.
• Prepare or revise strength-check notes and stress reports using Microsoft Office.
• Recommend solutions based on stress-analysis results.
• Track assigned project schedules, costs, and engineering metrics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate with business units in the USA.

What you'll need

• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• Knowledge of composite materials and analysis.
• Fundamentals of solid mechanics and machine design.
• Understanding of structural load paths and structural response to loads.
• Experience with HyperMesh or Nastran/Patran.
• Knowledge of aircraft structural part design, materials, and manufacturing processes.
