Associate Engineer focused on GitLab CI/CD and build integration for embedded Linux systems using the Yocto Project.

What you'll do

• Use the Yocto Project to configure, customize, and build Linux distributions for embedded systems.
• Develop Yocto layers and recipes for project development.
• Integrate third-party libraries, tools, and drivers into custom Linux distributions.
• Triage build failures and provide solutions or guidance to users.
• Collaborate with the CI/build implementation team on major failures and findings.
• Troubleshoot build issues and optimize build times.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to optimize workflows for seamless integration.

What you'll need

• 3 to 6 years of experience in the role area (as stated in the job description).
• Strong experience with the Yocto Project, including writing recipes, layers, and customizing images within a CI environment.
• Hand-on scripting language experience (Python, shell-scripting).
• Proficiency in C programming and Linux.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git and build automation tools.
• Familiarity with menuconfig, make, and kernel patches.
• Experience with Jfrog, Artifactory, and GitLab CI.
