Associate Engineer - Engineering Change Management

Overview

Support Engineering Change Management activities for manufacturing sites and new product introduction (NPI) programs in Chennai.

What you'll do

• Create part numbers for BOM in Agile and Baan.
• Create AVL in Agile and Baan systems.
• Download customer documents such as product specifications and release them in CDC.
• Work as a Change Analyst during NPI for new changes.
• Release part lists to production for new models and after ECO implementation.
• Manage ECOs for manufacturing sites across the globe.
• Use the Agile PLM system for ECO creation, reviewing, routing, tracking, releasing and distribution.
• Study ECOs and drawings closely and coordinate with the site Process and Product Engineering teams.
• Work with Engineering and Materials teams to review product updates and modifications.
• Respond to Business Partner requestors and customers on queries relating to Engineering Change Orders.
• Ensure adherence to targets set for all process metrics.

What you'll need

• Diploma or B.Sc. graduate in EEE or ECE.
• 0-2 years of experience as an NPI/ECO Engineer in a manufacturing setup.
• Knowledge of NPI (New Product Introduction).
• Knowledge of ECO (Engineering Change Order management).
• Knowledge of BOM (Bill of Materials) management.
• Hands-on experience in any PLM software linked to the ECO process.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are mandatory.
• Knowledge of MS Office and MS Outlook.
• Good analytical skills.
• Coaching and mentoring skills.
• Conflict resolution skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in the EMS industry is preferred.
