Associate Engineer - Engineering Change Management

Overview

Support engineering change management in Coimbatore, handling BOM, AVL and engineering change order (ECO) activities across NPI and production.

What you'll do

• Create part numbers for BOM in Agile and Baan.
• Create AVL in Agile and Baan systems.
• Download customer documents such as product specifications and release them in CDC.
• Work as a change analyst during NPI for new changes.
• Release part lists to production for new models and after implementation of ECOs.
• Efficiently manage ECOs for manufacturing sites across the globe.
• Use the Agile (PLM) system for ECO creation, review, routing, tracking, release and distribution.
• Study ECOs and drawings closely and coordinate with site process and product engineering teams.
• Work closely with engineering and materials teams to review product updates and modifications.
• Respond to business partners (requestors) and customers on queries relating to engineering change orders.
• Ensure adherence to targets set for all process metrics.

What you'll need

• Diploma or B.Sc (EEE/ECE) graduate.
• 0-2 years of experience as an NPI/ECO engineer in a manufacturing setup.
• Knowledge of NPI (New Product Introduction).
• Knowledge of ECO (Engineering Change Order) management.
• Knowledge of BOM (Bill of Materials) management.
• Hands-on experience in any PLM software linked to the ECO process.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (mandatory).
• Knowledge of MS Office and MS Outlook.
• Good analytical skills.
• Coaching and mentoring skills.
• Conflict resolution skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in the EMS industry.
