Associate

Overview

Associate role supporting Aladdin (BlackRock's investment management platform) for MassMutual India's trading and investment operations, acting as a subject-matter expert for Aladdin users globally and liaising with BlackRock on trading platform issues.

What you'll do

• Maintain knowledge of Aladdin for public and private markets, including ongoing training in Aladdin Academy, webinars and product releases.
• Become a subject-matter expert to support Aladdin users globally.
• Create and terminate portfolios in Aladdin in a timely manner.
• Create portfolio groups as needed.
• Populate Investor IDs as directed by the Transition Team or Traders.
• Create and terminate users in line with ServiceNow requests.
• Understand the user permissions structure and maintain or create controls to ensure adherence to segregation of duties and audit reviews.
• Identify control gaps and propose remediation.
• Create and maintain procedures and tips sheets.
• Work collegially with BlackRock to deliver suitable solutions for the business.
• Provide feedback to BRS on the quality and timeliness of responses.
• Help with testing of new processes or enhancements.
• Liaise with the different trading platforms to resolve issues, including user permissions and FIX connection issues.
• Actively engage with BlackRock.
• Ensure issues, errors and requests are logged and tracked to resolution with BlackRock.
• Escalate issues when necessary.
• Share technical knowledge with Barings colleagues, in particular on new functionalities or enhancements.
• Build strong, positive working relationships with business colleagues, including BlackRock account managers in the US, UK and HK, within the team and across GPD.

What you'll need

• Understanding of financial assets: equity, fixed income, derivatives and private assets.
• Understanding of the trade lifecycle, including back-end processes and data feeds.
• Understanding of business workflows and requirements, including how Aladdin is used by different teams.
• Strong organizational, analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and highly motivated to learn new systems.
• Proactive, with the ability to work independently with minimum supervision during HK hours.
• Project management skills.
• Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables).
• Previous experience with Aladdin or other OMS.
• Coding in VBA or SQL.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of PowerBI and Power Automate.
