Associate Financial Analyst - Cost Accounting

Overview

Support cost accounting activities for Flex's Chennai team, including cost accounting metrics, process improvements, month-end journal entries, documentation and backup support for the cost accountant.

What you'll do

• Perform all defined cost accounting activities.
• Understand corporate policy and follow up on key cost accounting metrics.
• Implement time-saving and cost-reducing initiatives through pocket kaizens and process improvements.
• Work with the operations team and track reasons for metric non-conformances through regular follow-ups.
• Post month-end journal entries related to accruals and reclassifications in the ERP.
• Prepare and maintain SOPs in line with the latest process and document them in the DMS.
• Learn and serve as a backup for the cost accountant.

What you'll need

• B.Com, BBA (Finance), M.Com or MBA (Finance).
• Freshers or 2-4 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Basic-level knowledge of MS applications.
• Good knowledge of MS Office.
• Knowledge of accounting principles.
• Ability to understand and interpret accounting policies.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
• Good team-player and analytical skills.
• Willingness to learn and deploy skills learned in day-to-day processes.
